Lovely light. A family that inspires. I was overwhelmed by the love and connection of this family.
I’m proud to say that I won over all three of these dear ones, especially the oldest. She loves to read, and we talked and talked about the mystery novels she loves. Reminds me a lot of me when I was her age. The youngest. She did a lot of hiding from me. Little did she know this would turn out to be one of my favorite images of our play time together. Mom requested a shot of each child with each parent. It was one of coolest part of our time together. Watching each child’s face as mom or dad told a story about them or recounted a funny baby story was completely amazing. Ha! Photographer: 2. 3yr old: 1

I’m not sure mom and dad totally knew what to think of me. I am pretty ridiculous when I’m playing on my photo shoots. Now that I’m a mom, I could see how it could drive another parent crazy to watch their child go extremely nuts in front of the camera (and photographer). But parents, let me tell you a little secret. Its fun for me too. As crazy as it gets, I love it. I love getting to see them almost explode from having too much energy.Photographer: 3. 3 yr old: 1
I love this one.
And this one. I have no good reason for including this image except I LOVE IT! I have no idea why. Maybe its just the perfect ANTI-Portrait. Baird family, thank you for letting me into your world for a bit. rw

My dear dear friend Crystal. Beautiful and strong. She also has killer bisceps from carrying around babies for the last 2.5 years. I love this image of my friend Ben. He HATES having his picture taken because he thinks hes not photogenic. I beg to differ. Here’s half his face to prove it. :) This is what I call an ANTI-Portrait…. And there she goes….

Spending time with children + families, capturing their spirit, their bond, is such an honor. Peace friends.

Remember Asher? Also known as “I like to puke 5min before a photo shoot”. Obviously its not HIS fault that he puked, but really, at what age can you start controlling that stuff? :) Just kidding.
I love silhouettes. Especially when the sky is so blue and the sun so brilliant. This is also a great ANTI-Portrait if I do say so myself. So we decided to do a mini-session, ones where Asher doesn’t smell like puke. (Wondering how many times I’m going to say puke in this post?) Want to know more about our mini-sessions? Click here for more details. Doesn’t he seem so much happier without all the puke? (pukey face)(Pukey puke)
I think thats eight. :) Also, these are friends so I’m cool with calling their son pukey face. Okay thats nine. And in case you missed it, Mini-session info is here! Peace.
