We spent a lovely evening with Collin + Emily last night. This image was one of the last I took. No photoshop effects, brushes or textures. Just a homemade filter and a creative burst of excitement.

Jake+Katie, a couple so at ease it was beautiful to photograph. They were a little nervous of course, but soon realized that this was a time to just be together, to laugh and cuddle together, to reflect on the future, to let me hear more of their story. And to fly a kite.
We spent the evening at James Arther Vineyard in Raymond, NE. It was gorgeous out!
This is an example of jake+katie just hanging out, I asked them to sit down in any way that was comfortable, and this is how they sat. I loved it! It wasn’t posed or contrived, just normal and visually interesting.
Love this one. Love that they know how to laugh together.
If you’ve never been out to James Arthur Vineyards, its absolutely wonderful. Go, take a book, have a glass of wine. Its awesome.

We’re standing together, talking about Haiti, I wasn’t even really paying attention to them, I was just focusing on what I was saying. I look up, and THIS is how they’re standing. Capturing this couple in so many real ways was inspiring to me.
And then Katie got embarrassed. 
But still SO adorable.
Oh, we also flew a kite.

A beautiful Nebraska night with Bob+Kaytlin….with a crazy 1920′s school house. We saw this and LOVED it.

Adventures with Sean + Jenny….their small backyard wedding is 1 month away and we couldn’t be more honored to be there. They are both so funny and easy to be with, it made our time together feel like hanging with old friends, we loved loved loved it! 
Look, we found this wee little door…
I think Sean is pretending to be John Wayne..or some other old west character. 
THEN….Jenny and Sean follow my adventurous spirit into a nearby river.
Maybe my favorite of the day…
There was however….mud. A lot of mud. 
But not so much mud to keep these images from being captured. 
I love the light here, like a mist had settled around us. 
This moment was truly hilarious! Jenny’s face trying to make grass music (or whatever its called) was priceless.
