We’re picking right up where we left off from Part 1 of Collin + Emily’s Wedding day starting with a time of prayer…

Collin’s dad was one of the wedding’s officiants. I cried during his time of sharing during the ceremony. For real I cried.
Real wedding snapshot. There are so many random things going on in this image I can’t even talk about it….except to say that Collin having to duck under the ventilation system was so funny.
Breathe.
taking deep breaths together sometimes lead to tears.

This is probably one of my favorite images from the day…
And this one. They’re both so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.

They thought they were so sneaky. You cannot hide from me, I am the stealthiest wedding photographer that ever was. I don’t even take a break to pee.
Collin tends to stand like an old man…ahem I mean an older gentleman.

Real wedding snapshot.

The Don’t Give Up Project. We believe marriage is more important and more meaningful than weddings. We believe in the work it takes to keep loving each other despite life. We believe its worth it.

The wedding reception was actually a lunch, a box lunch actually. And box lunches never looked so pretty.
I wonder what this little beauty is for…

I’m not sure I can really explain this. Collin and his mom have the most beautiful connection. I was overwhelmed by it.
Just one more thing….a square dance!

With a square dance caller of course.

I can’t remember what this square dance thing is called…anyone?

And thats the end party people. Collin + Emily, thank you thank you thank you for inviting us in and for sharing your lives with us. We were beyond blessed by you.
Peace friends. rw

Part 2: The wedding, coming later this week. Peace friends. rw
So both Collin + Emily are TALL. Really Tall. In these shots I was standing on a ledge about 2ft tall. No joke. The Welsteads are a wee little bunch so a ladder will be necessary for their wedding, just two weeks away!

Spotlight?

I was completely taken with the texture of this grass in the setting sun…

So on our way out of town a bit, we were stopped by a train (see right of image). So we decided we had enough time to get out and take a few shots. Ben stood watch for the caboose. We felt adventurous.

See? Obsession. No photoshop here, promise.

More filter handsomeness…
See why I decided to break this up in two posts? Also, my blog would probably explode from slow page loading.

No tilt-shift, no photoshop.

Pretty/handsome light. Love Equals is not gender bias.
Collin had a Peppermint Patty handy. It was melty. And funny.

Love.
Love this too. It doesn’t make a ton of sense but thats what I love about it. It sense-defying. (yep. I just made that up)

Part 2 tomorrow!!! Peace friends. rw.
Much more to come and their wedding is only ONE month away. Peace friends. rw
