Dear parents, if you don’t let your child get a little nuts on photo shoots (i.e. tie their scarf around their head) how in the world would I ever get images like this? Food for thought. rw.

I started to get to know this clan of crazy kids last year around this time and even though they’ve done some serious growing up, one thing remains the same. ENERGY! Holy cow have these kids have energy and spirit.
Energy is not a bad thing. I would rather chase this guy around all day long as long as he’s having fun.
Not sure if they were going for ninjas or what. Either way, I like it.

Love this black & white.

So perfectly fall….

I cannot express enough how much I LOVE this image. I just do. The end.
Happy Wednesday friends. Peace. rw.

Lovely light. A family that inspires. I was overwhelmed by the love and connection of this family.
I’m proud to say that I won over all three of these dear ones, especially the oldest. She loves to read, and we talked and talked about the mystery novels she loves. Reminds me a lot of me when I was her age.
The youngest. She did a lot of hiding from me. Little did she know this would turn out to be one of my favorite images of our play time together. Photographer: 1. 3yr old: 0.
Ok, she got me there. Photographer: 1. 3yr old: 1

Mom requested a shot of each child with each parent. It was one of coolest part of our time together. Watching each child’s face as mom or dad told a story about them or recounted a funny baby story was completely amazing.
Ha! Photographer: 2. 3yr old: 1

I’m not sure mom and dad totally knew what to think of me. I am pretty ridiculous when I’m playing on my photo shoots. Now that I’m a mom, I could see how it could drive another parent crazy to watch their child go extremely nuts in front of the camera (and photographer). But parents, let me tell you a little secret. Its fun for me too. As crazy as it gets, I love it. I love getting to see them almost explode from having too much energy.

I love this one.
And this one.
I have no good reason for including this image except I LOVE IT! I have no idea why. Maybe its just the perfect ANTI-Portrait.
Baird family, thank you for letting me into your world for a bit. rw

So THIS is studio play session. Its all in the name. We play! No cheesy backgrounds or soft-box lighting. Just a clean, white space to play, jump and laugh in.

also COOKIES!

Now that the weather is OFFICIALLY cold, wet, yucky, I’ll be spending A LOT of time in my studio. Call me for a play session, but I will warn you, it can get a little crazy, I pretty much let kids jump over everything I have.
Also if you bring me cookies, I’ll be your best friend. rw
